My reflexology practice came about as a result of my own positive experiences as a recipient of reflexology and the desire to further support people’s health and wellbeing with a safe and effective holistic treatment.
With an NHS career spanning nearly 28 years I have extensive experience of working with people’s health and I still work part time as a midwife in Brighton. My work as a midwife has included working in busy hospitals or out in the community attending pregnancy clinics, home births and visiting families at home with their newborns. As a health visitor I have worked in different areas across Brighton, providing advice and support to families with children under 5 years.
My midwife and health visiting roles have given me extensive knowledge and skills with which to support pregnancy, the early days and weeks with a baby and infant feeding. At the same time, I have gained considerable experience in supporting adult mental health, child and adult neurodiversity and chronic physical and mental health conditions, all of which impact on parenting, family and day-to-day life.
I have an additional qualification in Birth Trauma Resolution Therapy to provide extra psychological support to families who have experienced a difficult pregnancy, labour or birth.
My post-qualification training in Women’s Health Reflexology and Supporting The 4th Trimester (the initial weeks and months post birth) reflects my particular interest in women’s health.
